The Google io event is one of the biggest event where google introduce its products to the developers and introduces its new software updates, this year also google announced some of the mind blowing features which can provide ease of living to people and can enhance their productivity.

AI an machine learning

Google has always been focused on giving people ease of living by expanding their reach towards AI (Artificial Intelligence) and this year google did the same as they combined the AI with machine learning which allowed google to introduce some of the major updates in apps like Google assistant, maps, lens, camera and gmail

Android p

Google is all set to launch its new android version named android p which will the the user experience to the whole new level. The major update is that the on screen buttons in the pixel has been replaced by the gestures similar to the iPhone x is google trying to copy?? Not sure but google is definitely trying to simplify the user experience and one can can also get the buttons back if they don't wish to use the gesture control.

Android p also allows you to take app based action in the app drawer itself which is pretty handy.

Adaptive battery 

Adaptive battery is the new feature in the android p which uses AI and machine learning to figure out how you use your phone and what apps do you use frequent and allows the battery consumption respectively. it kills all the unused app and apps in the background to enhance your battery life. 

Adaptive battery also uses machine learning and set the timer for your phone brightness automatically so that the screen gets comfortable to your eyes in dark and you don't need to worry about switching modes every time.

Google assistant

In the new google developer conference 2018, google has paid at most attention to teach the google assistant more and adapt itself according to the user, google has added 6 new voices to the google assistant. Google has gone one step further in AI and machine learning and now you can use the assistant to make reservations on your behalf, it means the assistant will call the place talk to the person on the other line on your behalf and set the timing according to your preference and convince and will book and appointment for Salon, hotels and diners, that's simply amazing!

Also it will get you to the bed on time as soon as you say "wind up my screen till 10 pm" the screen will automatically turn grey scale, indicating your subconscious to sleep, this changes are coming later this summer on android and on ios later this year

Google photos

After a long time, google photos got lucky and got an update this year with some pretty amazing features in edit and filtering the photos, one of it is "suggested actions" by this for example if you have a document in front of you you can click a photo, convert it into PDF and share it seamlessly. 

Also with the new google lens you can now copy text from a book and pate it in the application inside the phone, which is simply amazing. For now the feature is only available on the google pixel but will soon roll out on other phones as well.

Google Maps

Google just changed the way you will use a map after this update, now you don't have to move and see in which direction the blue dot is moving, you open the camera and you see a vision of the maps on the screen and they guide you step by step where to go next!

 They are also looking forward to add an animated character which will guide you where you wanna go, sounds exciting isn't it?

Gmail

How can we forget about the new gmail that google has updated, the UI of the gmail is now changed and the new UI looks simply gorgeous also google has added features like snooze, and auto suggest in which google will not just suggest you the words but will predict the whole sentence on the basis of what you are typing with the help of AI and machine learning!

 This is still in the beta version and Google will roll out the final update soon as everything gets ready!
